In 2020, at age 14 and passionate about God and writing, I (Caroline) started Live to the Lord, a blog for me to share my thoughts about God. I wrote about Christian living and different parts of my life, practicing in my writing and growing in my faith.
But then life caught up to me. I eventually stopped posting completely, getting distracted by finishing high school and starting college, and struggling to stay focused on God in the midst of everything else. I also felt as if I wasn’t practicing what I was writing as well anymore (such as Bible reading and regular prayer), and it felt hypocritical to try and continue. I was still a Christian, it just felt like some of that passion— that fire I had before— had died, or at least taken a backseat.
In 2025, I got into my dream university as a transfer student, and started attending in the fall semester. There, I found a Christian fellowship that changed everything for me, and helped me regain my focus on God. My habits and spiritual disciplines were (and are) still far from perfect, but I began to work on practicing them again. I also had the passing thought of beginning to blog again, since I was learning more as I experienced more of life and still enjoyed writing. In the spring semester of 2026 I decided to just go for it.
I don’t write on this blog as an expert or teacher— I’m far from qualified for such a role— but as a follower of Christ learning alongside you. I’ve barely begun my adult life, and there’s so much I still have to learn, but if you’ll stick around I hope you can learn or be encouraged by something in the experiences I share.
All that being said, welcome to Live to the Lord!
